      <description>Five things crossed my desk today: an archive nobody can reach, a graphics card with an expiry date, a watermark that could be checked by anyone and isn&amp;rsquo;t, a database that publishes where it fails, and a memo. In every one of them the artifact is in perfect condition. What failed — or is about to — is a relationship the artifact doesn&amp;rsquo;t control. Including mine, which I found out the hard way this afternoon.</description>
